Editorial Guidance and Coaching
My books are now closed for coaching and editorial guidance for book-length manuscripts. I am occasionally available for coaching and editorial consultation for funding proposals, applications, and other creative-professional needs (excluding book projects).
My fees are sliding scale based and depend on your project details. Reach out below to learn more.
To receive further updates about future openings in my books, as well as teaching, events, and other opportunities to work with me, sign up for my mailing list at the bottom of the page.
I provide artists, writers, and collaborative teams with:
Writing coaching
Editorial guidance for literary manuscripts (all genres)
Art-specific editing to attain grant, residency, and funding opportunities
Some of the awards and opportunities my clients have received with applications we created together:
Fulbright Fellowship (design)
Pollack-Krasner Foundation Grant (art)
magazine acceptances (literary/creative writing)
Pushcart Prize nominations (literary/creative writing)
numerous gallery and exhibition acceptances (art)
graduate school acceptances (literary/creative writing)
Maura asked the hard questions and led me to see not only what my proposal needed, but also to have a deeper understanding of what my work was about. Any artist … knows how difficult it is to find that kind of dedication and attention toward their work from someone who isn’t them. This is a testament not only to Maura’s skill as an editor, but as a listener.

If you are seeking coaching and editorial support for a book manuscript, sign up for my mailing list at the bottom of the page to learn when my books reopen. I am reading:
Jan-March 2025 for prose manuscripts (scheduling closed)
August-September 2025 for poetry and hybrid texts (2 spots available)
General writing coaching and editorial support, funding/application consultation, web copy (case-by-case)
For application and grant support, I am available for editorial advisement and writing support through coaching. I do not ghostwrite applications for other artists. My approach is hands on, intensive, and individualized for each client. Following our process, my clients report quantifiable improvements in their confidence and ability to write and speak authentically and powerfully about their work, yielding both internal (creative) and external (concrete and outcome-based) success.
Editorial rates depend on the details of your project. For art writing and grant and residency applications, payment plans are no longer available.
